Summer 2019 - Kids Textile Camps

SAMPLE WEEK (Basic Sewing and Knitting)

Touch on many aspects of the textile arts with a focus on sewing and knitting.  Students will have the opportunity to complete a knitting and a sewing project.  A more relaxed class to introduce kids to world of textiles and have the opportunity to try it out. 

$10 fee for materials


Have fun learning how to sew.  Learn about your machine, discover different stitches, how to read and cut out patterns.  Students will complete two projects.  Learn basics sewing skills.

$25.00 for fabric (Field Trip) because half the fun of sewing is shopping for fabric!

PROJECT CAMP -- A joint venture with VEVANG MPLS

We are excited to be a part of this ambitious camp!  Five different projects lead by five different instructors: sewing, crop art, spoon carving, soap/lotion making, build a tool box.

SEWING NEXT STEPS (Advanced Beginners)

This class will strengthen and expand your sewing skills.  We work on perfecting basic sewing skills, pattern layout, pattern reading, and reviewing how to use your sewing machine.  Perfect for anyone who’s taken our beginner sewing workshop or has worked with a pattern to make a garment. Students will need $25.00 for our fabric shopping trip. 

COST: $275  These week-long  camps run Monday through Friday, 9am-4pm.  Before and after child care can be arranged for an additional cost.  Students bring their own lunch.  Light snacks are provided.
