Students will bring in garments they no longer wear or do not like the way it fits and together we will come up with creative ways to up-scale, revamp, repurpose it.  Let’s all work to keep clothes out of the land- fill!

Birthday Party! Kids In Stitches

Level: for children ages 8-17

Cost: $150 up to 5 children and $35 per additional child (for a 2.5-hour party). Limit of seven children ages 8-17.

Our fiber birthday parties are a fun and creative way for kids to celebrate their day with friends. Prior to the event, the birthday child chooses one of our many different textile projects which they all will make at our studio. The Fiber Works MPLS studio is loaded with all the materials needed to fuel their imaginations and keep their hands engaged. Each child will leave with a piece uniquely their own. Sewing time is about 1.5 hours with about 50 minutes available for cake and fun chatter. We are located right next to Carma Coffee, so if parents choose to stay, they have a place to relax while we get to work.

Family provides cake, juice, any other food stuff, and any additional decorations.  We provide the plates, cups, and utensils.

Fiber Works MPLS is a NE Minneapolis community textile/fiber junction offering workshops in sewing & knitting for children and adults.  Sharing a love of the fiber arts.
