Overview

Creative expression & learning through hand-work.

Our fiber camps, school release days, and homeschool programs are the gateways to creative expression.  This is what our programs are all about.  We provide the space, materials, tools, and instruction for children to engage their “creative” brain.  Our days a full.  With the summer camps we have the time to more fully introduce the fundamentals of sewing and knitting.  Our structured School Release Days provide students with these an overview of these basic principles through carefully planned projects.  And there is always some free time when they can let their imaginations run wild.  Our homeschool program runs weekly over the course of 13 weeks which allows for the sewing, designing, and knitting skills to develop and become more of an integrated mode of expression for the students.

Program Policies

Participation

Our classes are structured learning environments and the projects presented are designed to support the skills we cover.  We expect students who have signed up are willing and ready to get to work when they arrive.  However, if for any reason during the course of the day a child needs a break of their own, we will certainly accommodate them.  Often times children bring a book just in case they need this quiet time before resuming their projects.  If your child has any specific needs, to help them be comfortable and successful at Fiber Works MPLS please let us know and indicate this on the release form.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be made 21 days prior to the camp start date for a full refund less $25. Within 21 days but more than 7 days we will refund ½ of payment. There is no refund of payment for any cancellations made less than 7 days prior to camp start date.

We reserve the right to cancel any camp that is not sufficiently filled. We will announce this at least 2 weeks in advance of the camp and a full refund will be given.
